Oh ye brilliant minds. I need thee once again.
Ok. I’m probably reaching WAY beyond my abilities, and deserved to be whipped. Here’s the deal.
My site is HTML, but I have a flash navigation. Right now the animation slides up into a black area when you roll over the buttons, but is black until you roll over it. there are two problems, or rather, issues.
- when you roll over the black area it will play one of the animations for the button rollovers. Usually the last one that I messed with. I don’t want any animation to play when you rollover that blank area and I don’t know why it’s doing that.
- what I would like to do (and this is what’s probably way over my head) is have that blank area filled with the corresponding photo to the page you’re on instead of the blank space. To do this, since they’re only elements on an HTML page, would I have to have a different swf for each page? or is there a script that could “know” what page it’s on and automatically display the picture for it? Or, since it’s only the navigation that’s on the page it can’t work like that? If I do make separate versions for each page would this make it at all easier to fix my first problem?
Anyway. Any help with either or those problems would be helpful.
I don’t have the buttons actually linked yet, but here’s the swf but only with 1/2 the buttons, so you can visualize this better. I’ll try to post the fla, too.
