Checking computer system information

does anyone know any software that can be use to check computer’s hardware information in detail? cache, FSB, graphic card, hd rpm, etc. There’s a few out there that i found in download.com but the information is not that detail.

Well, I don’t know one single software that checks all, but goto Run, type in ‘dxdiag’ w/o quotes and you get some info. Download CPUZ @ http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php to check your FSB, etc.

Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Information

Or run a search on Downloads.com and you will find something there that can do it all.

tq all. nice software maxtrosity. i also find astra32, www.astra32.com

I think SiSoft’s Sandra can display a lot of info about your system also.

oh yeah kirupa! I used to have this program when it was a prerequisite for my “hardware courses”. Now that’s a prog’! Like, there’s TOO MUCH info.

But it’s worth it. Once you sort through it all, you get to have the specs and infos you need.

The receipt usually tells you alot. That was the only way I could tell that I had RDRAM other than looking at the actual modules.

anyone ever heard of Belarc advisor?
http://belarc.com/free_download.html
Puts system info into html page.
Any opinions of it? My uncle recommended it. I’m gonna try the other stuf when I get home.

Kirupa’s suggestion is ideal, Ive used Sandra and gives you detailed info. Get Benchmark from www.guru3d.com for Comp performance.

Start - Run - dxdiag
 That should be all you need, it tells you alot about your system

:sure:
