Choppy tweening

hi,
does anybody know why the tween becomes very choppy when I use symbols that are groups of vector images I created in Flash?

i had originally used a jpg that i created in photoshop and imported it into flash to be tweened (more specifically, the alpha was changed to create the fade-in/out effect)…but since the image becomes blurred at different resolutions i decided to re-create everything in flash (the image is made up of mostly of text). when I re-integrated the new symbols, however, the tweening becomes very, very slow and choppy.

can anybody help? thanks!

Well it’s choppy because it’s more CPU intensive now that it’s trying to tween a multiple objects at once.

You could have taken the original jpg file you created in photoshop, bring it into flash and use the trace bitmap feature to turn it into a vector graphic so that it would be scalable without getting pixelated.

Tracing the bitmap also makes it a huge file too…sigh…i guess i’ll have to tolerate the blurriness…
