Clearing SharedObjects from browser

Hi I’m making a site intro that detects local Shared Objects. I want to make it so that if the intro detects a local shared object it just skips to the main movie. My question is… when a user goes to clear their cache or cookies from their web broswer are the SharedObjects also cleared with them? I’m hoping to use SharedObjects instead of nasty php/asp/javascript code on the HTML side. Thanks!
