Clickable ad in Flash CS2

Hey guys, I’m a super beginner to Flash and it’s my first time posting on this forum - looks like there’s a lot of info and experts on here and I have been trying to figure out this one problem for a good while now, and yes I did use the search function before posting but I’m sure I’m wording everything wrong.

Anyways, all I am trying to do is make an invisible button over my 200 x 200 ad that when clicked links to my desired website.
I have previously been directed to tutorials such as THIS ONE.
but I find that they don’t work with CS3. I just can’t seem to add the action to the button, or instance or whatever it may be, the actions window never allows me to enter script.

So I’m hoping that someone here knows what I’m talking about and can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

EDIT thread title should be CS3 - I am using Flash CS3

not sure if this is what you mean, but have you tried clicking the button in the actions panel (F9) that says “script assist”? - you might be in assist mode, which can be frustrating (to say the very least). and very limiting.

If you click it once, you may find yourself freed.

When i have the button selected and press F9 the actions window in the upper lefthand just says “Actions” not “Actions - Button” or anything like that, and I am unable to click the script assist button, although it does say script assist. I know there has to be one glaring mistake I’m making to F this all up…
