I have an image of a house that I want the color blue to ‘fade’ into the house.
In photoshop, I would do this using the eraser tool, and just erase using the background eraser tool.
In flash mx, since the image of the house is a symbol, I cant exactly use the method of erasing,or can I
I would assume I would have to use the gradient tool and go from the blue color to the background color (which the background would be the image of the house )
How would I do this .
Post back if this is not clear.
you could make a gradient from blue to transparent. you can create a gradient like this using your color mixer panel… set the fill style to gradient. make the first color blue, and for the second color make sure that the alpha for the color is set to 0%
all you have to do then is fill the new gradient into a block, and tweak it with your fill transform tool (if needed)
you can also make this blue to transparent gradient in photoshop and save it as a png file (with transparency switched on), but this will push your file size up (not what you always want)…
