Color Image to Black and White?

Is there a way to change a color image in flash to black and white? Or is this something I have to do in an image editor before importing the image into flash?

go into photoshop, go to Image>ajustments>hue/saturate and play around with the sliders. Or go to Image>ajustments>desaturate
