how do u create the colour change/gradient effect like that which is in dan’s footer? been trying but i can’t get it :-\
You may want to post a link to a thread that contains dan’s footer. I bet I could help you, but I don’t know what dan’s footer looks like 
Oh that one!! That one is pretty cool. I’m not positive, but I’ve got a couple guesses.
Guess#1 - Take just the grey box, the one that drops first. There are like 5 grey boxes. The top one’s alpha is at 100%, the four behind it has alphas that are lower like 90%, 80%, etc. Then when you add a motion tween (or action script) to all five; each grey box moves slower than the one right in front of it. Get what I’m saying?? If not, I’ll make a fla. You may also be able to use brightness too (less processor intensive).
Guess#2 - Use the color mixer. Make a shape, fill the middle with linear gradient, in the color mixer, pick one side of the gradient and bring the alpha down to zero.
