Comic Story Development

I’m working on developing a comic with a friend. The comic is really a way to build an audience for a video game idea, but let’s focus on the comic. I’d like to get your feedback on the first intro episode.

What is your over all impression?

Would you want to read #2?

What do you think the overall mood of the comic is?

Are there any parts you think are funny? What are they?

Are there any parts that seem confusing? What are they?

Are there any parts you think work well? What are they?

Any other ideas?

nine pages was a bit of a turn off…i didnt want to read it when i saw that :frowning: maybe later

Needs to be somewhat graphical first, seemed really plain when I look at it, too much details. All can be expressed better by pictures.

a story is secondary to the artwork. You seem well organized, and to have a clear picture of what you want this comic to contain, but without the clear pictures!! You’ve got the story, now you should crank out story boards!!! I think you’ve gotten past the hardest part of production, which is the concept. Now that you have one, start sketchin, and bring this thing to life!!

BTW: Is this going be a Flash comic, or you do plan on printing it on thinly-sliced, and compressed tree-pulp?

flash! flash! flash!..

Yeah this is just the story development. We wanted to have the ideas together so the artist could have a clear picture of what we wanted to have drawn.

We will be able to cut out a lot and make things more powerful with the images.

The comic is being drawn the old fashion way so, it wouldn’t be made for flash or an internet medium.

That being said I would like to find a way to move through the still images using flash to create a movie.

I know it’s long, and I appreciate the time any one takes to read it and give me their thoughts.

Thanks,
