I love the original Dune and Command & Conquer. I spent months studying the internal file formats of the original C&C so that i can reproduce the exact maps using the original map data and tiles in Flash. After a lot of hard work i managed to do it. Prior to developing the flash game, i had to create some C++ programs to extract map data, image data, units data and write to XML files and Gif files so that it can be used in flash. There are good editors available to extract the images from MIX files but i had to export thousands of tile images in my own sequence in a batch with proper filename and ID so i had to create my own program to do it. Also the INI files had to be converted to XML. I have attached a screenshot of my game and if you contact me by email, i can send you a demo of my game.
