CONFLICT: XML News Ticker won't work with multiple frames per layer

Hi,

I’m trying to create a digital signage that has both a dynamic date/time and a news ticker.

I followed the news ticker tutorial (http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/newsticker.htm) but realize that it only works when there is only one frame per layer on the timeline.

For the date to work, the timeline has to have two frames per layer.

What should I do to get this working? There must be a way to get around this… otherwise how can the news ticker work on fla files with 10+ frames per layer?

I’m using AS2, btw.
