I have been away from Flash for a long time doing straight html sites so my brain is not up the speed it was! Also trying to keep busy whilst a close relative is very ill in hospital and when I cant visit him - hence any help with this query would be extra appreciated and keep me occupied!
I am trying to introduce some sort of floating licence system onto some movies made a few years back in MX. I want to be able to allocate a set number of licences and then monitor how many times a movie is viewed or accessed against that number - just giving a polite message with a link to where to get more licences if that number is exceeded.
The more I can do within the MX the better - tho I guess it will have to link to an outside database? Any pointers as to where to start or tutorials to investigate (off the shelf solutions?) would be absolutely great. I can call on developers if needs be - my developer skills arn’t huge, but I have really enjoyed working with Actionscript and sorting out quite a few things for myself if at all possible.
