Hi you clever people
Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I’m not overly sure what i really need.
I’m looking for a way to control elements of my Actionscript at run-time via sliders and buttons on the stage so the user can interact and change the animation dynamically.
This example is almost exactly what I need it has controls and I’m looking for them to control a similar Spirograph type API animation.

It is obviously possible but I don’t even know where to start looking for help, is there a Plugin component for flash, or is it an Actionscript job? What is this type of control even called?
A link to a tutorial would be greatly appreciated.
