Controlling externally loaded clips - pls help!

I’m trying to build my new website and am having a few problems with navigation.

I have a main movie with x2 clips containing the primary and secondary navigation.
The first clip is the main navigation which loads external content movies into a “container” clip in the main movie and makes the second movie clip go to the correct frame to display the secondary navigation.

I want the secondary navigation to be able to control the externally loaded movie and navigate through its frames showing different ‘pages’ of content but can’t find a way to do it.

I’m currently using the code from http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/transitions.htm as a basis for loading and playing the external movies, with an extra set of navigation buttons to control the loaded movie (in theory!)

I hope that makes enough sense for someone to be able to help!

Ok, here it is.

Basic interface with main flash file which includes a couple of movie clips with navigation in them and a bunch of external “content” movies.

“Three” has several frames that I’d like to be able to navigate through but it doesn’t seem to work.
