Converting lines into brush strokes in an animated character?

Hi,

I like to animated a character that I drew using the Brush tool. However, I find that difficult because its tough to maintain the brush style across all the in-between drawings. As a result, I redrew the picture using the pencil tool and I animated that instead. Working with the pencil tool is a lot easier.

The problem is, I want to have the “look” of the brush tool. I understand I can manually change each line into a fill and make them look like a brush stroke one by one. However, that’s a lot of work. Is there a better way?

I do believe in the symbol drop down menu the is a convert lines to fill option. I don’t exactly understand your problem, you may want to post screen shots.
