Counter animation help

Hi,
this message goes out to anyone who may be able to help me! i am trying to do a flash animation with text. what i want to do is create a counter that goes from 1 to 30,000 is about thirty seconds. the problem is that i don’t want it to turn out looking morphed inbetween. is there a way to make it look like the numbers are flipping, from the ground up, while they change? any help or advice would be appreciated. thank you!

better titles please.
can you elaborate…?
how much flash/ actionscript do you know?

sorry about the title…
ok, i don’t know very much about manipulating type in flash. i do however know about motion and shape tweening with shapes. if actionscript involves tweening, i should be able to figure this out. the problem is that i ‘broke apart’ the numbers and inserted a shape tween but then the numbers started to morph; since there will be so many numbers and the intervals will be so close together i am afraid that the result will be illegible.

One way you can do it is with getTimer.
I’ve made you an example.
