New to the forums, but I have been reading and learning from the tutorials for a while. I am working on a flash website, and I ran into a couple of (probably) small problems.
The main file (wck9dc.fla) is supposed to load another flash file into it (newsticker.swf).
The newsticker has scrolling text in it, but the text just flickers when this swf is called up. No scrolling. That’s problem number 1.
problem #2 is in the newsticker.swf flash itself. I would like to have the scrolling text visible only within the confines of the text box, but the scrolling text goes up and across the entire window-outside of the text box.
I am attaching the fla’s for the perusal of any who might like to. It is a puzzle to me. I have been over nearly every tutorial and guide I can find about loading external swf’s and scrolling text. Still not getting it!:wasted:
