Creating a interactive map

Hi,

I was hoping somebody could give me some help in creating:

I have a map of my local area and would like to do the following:

use movie clips to animate the rivers / chimmeys etc
be able to zoom in and out
Ability to click on areas which leads me to a new movie…

Any ideas ?

Yeah actually it’s a bit easier than you’re probably thinking. Make your large map image into a movie clip. Inside that movie clip, animate your rivers and whatever animations you want on layers above the image. As far as zooming, just scale that one big movie clip with some buttons on your main timeline. Do a search on the forums for zooming. There’s a lot of stuff on here about it. As far as making areas load other movies, just use invisible buttons inside your map movie clip to load whatever you want to load. Hope that helps. Just search for stuff on maps on here and you’ll find some more helpful stuff.

Thanks, yeah i know that “technically” its fairly easy, i was just a bit unsure how to put it all togehter, so thanks for clearing it all up,
