Creating moving/expanding displays

I was wondering if someone could point me to some tutorials that cover creating moving displays, the ones that seem to be everywhere nowadays…

Im talking about the displays that slide/grow/drawn into the movie when a menu item is accessed…

Here’s what i have for an example, anything like the way the displays come about in this would be helpful…

It’s just a tweened mask. Each content box has a animated mask that slides in to reveal the box. Search around for masking tutorials, there’s tons of them.

yeah… the animation isnt really as much a problem as the scripting of the buttons…

i need to know how to AS the buttons to open and close the displays and such as they go back and forth

oh then what you want to learn is the transition process. Run a search for “transitions” in this sections, there are a few threads on it.
