Hi
I have, for a long period of time, (maybe since ever) been trying to develope a style that I wish to keep and continue to develope. A direction I first of all find fun, and others might enjoy as well. For me it has always been illustration, but I love everything about creation and have tried loads of other artforms. But I guess you have to do that, to find out where you fit it the most.
Lately (the last 6+ mothts) I haven’t really “created” that many pretty pictures, but I’ve slowly been building my own profile and identity - ronoy. I have been trying to work more professionally, structuring my way of getting around things and ending up with results that I can say I’m 99,9% happy with. That last 0,1% will never happen as I am a perfectionist always looking for the improvement I know is there.
I won’t bore you with what goes on in my designlife, but I want to give you a little impression of where I’m coming from rather than just link you an image and ask you for your critique.
As I said, I haven’t really made that many things, but I have finally come to that point where I feel 99,9% sure about where I’m going to continue in my design career. This year I’m going to start my bachelor degree in graphic design and hopefully I’ll be able to combine that with my illustration and eventually make a living out of it.
To prepare for those studies, and a more professional based design life, I’ve built my identity and I’m ready to get a solid showcase online. You can get a feel of what I’m going to present if you visit my site at ronoy dot com. Also, have a look at the [URL=“http://www.ronoy.com/blog”]news/blog where I’ve posted more work ([URL=“http://www.ronoy.com/blog/archives/category/illustration”]illustration as well as some [URL=“http://www.ronoy.com/blog/archives/category/logo-design”]graphic/[URL=“http://www.ronoy.com/blog/archives/category/web-design”]web design and [URL=“http://www.ronoy.com/blog/archives/category/motion-graphics”]motion work).
So, to finish it all up - what I’m really doing with this post is to showcase my whole identity, asking for comments and critique - how do you see me as a designer? What would your thoughts be as a possible client/future boss? What do you see as my strength/weekness etc. Because I need to get it all as solid as possible to be able to face the professional world of design.
