Hi all,
I have had a HELL of a time coming up with a name for my photography / design business…and after several weeks of thought…I decided that a simple yet meaningful name might work: “fourbyfive media”.
For those of you who are photographers…you probably know what a 4x5 is (a large format camera with unsurpassed image quality and texture), but my worry is that it’s too specific and might alienate those who don’t know photography terminology.
But that issue aside, I think it still exudes a feeling of strength and organization (it refers to a system of structure and measure) and kind of has a catchy “feel” to it. Plus, magazine page ratio is 4x5.
So far I’ve run it by 6 of my friends, and 5 said it was good. I’ve attached a work in progress of my “splash page” that will greet poeple until I can get the full site up- it’s very rough but whatever).
Thanks for any thoughts…(and I’ve already got my copyright lawyer on it so don’t think about stealing it! LOL).
