Hey Everyone,
I have been designing a website for a company and I employed the CSS Rollover Trick found under the CSS tab.
http://www.kirupa.com/web-tech/css_rollovers.htm
The company boss works on a macintosh computer, and always checks it with the Internet Explorer :: Mac version 5.2. The rollovers don’t show up at all on that browser, and I just checked the page above with that IE:mac:5.2 and it’s obviously the browser not understanding the trick, because no image appears at all on IE:Mac:5.2.
My first response was to tell her that IE Mac 5.2 sucks and no one uses it and just use Safari (it works on Safari), and I know that’s crude but I kind of have the impression that most designers ignore IE : mac because of the browser glitches. I want to know if there is a workaround so that the rollover trick can work on IE:mac:5.2 or if I should just implement the ususal javascript rollovers. OR if I’m correct in saying IE:mac is such a small market segment that the compatibility problem could be ignored.
Thanks,
Bobby
