Hello All. I have really been enjoying the forum Qs & As. Very informative!!!
We (myPartner & i) have created a AS3 .fla file with 6 movieClips that play in succession. We are ready for a content review of our work by the biology experts (this is a presentation of protein synthesis). Each MC covers (in great chemical detail) a step in that process for bacteria. I would like to include a text line (dynamic text) at the bottom of the draft-Protein Synthesis FLASH movie that will enable our biology reviewers to cite “the movie clip” and the specific frame of the movieClip that they wish to comment (or correct us) on. For example: ID = mcID:frameID
I am not able to find a way to get the “realtime” currentFrame value to print to the stage. Yes - I can get the currentFrame to show on the stage at the beginning of each movieClip (frame 1 or 2) – but, I am at a loss to get “realtime” currentFrame information. Some MovieClips have over 900 frames.
And, I have play & stop buttons included in the interface.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
My work platform is: AS3 and CS4.
