I could really do with some help on this one!
Has anybody tried customising Claudio’s scroll component in Flash 8?
If you check the publish settings it’s set up to publish for Flash Player 6 but when I make my changes (detailed below) and try to publish for Flash 8 it doesn’t work unfortunately…I’m stumped as to why.
All I did was to amend it such that I loaded the text in from an extenal XML file rather than hard coding the text into the dynamic textbox. But my text doesn’t show when I publish the swf. I’ve tried embedding fonts and have tried verdana and _sans. I’ve had no luck. The text just doesn’t show up.

I can attach my code if necessary but in the meantime does anyone have any ideas as to why this doen’t work?
