Hello Kirupa Geniuses,

I have a dilemma I am currently involved in… Let me describe the situation and then I’ll get into the questions.

Currently I have a website that incorporates a table using the DataGrid which displays in one column, Player Name and in the second column, a confirm link… this is being read in from an XML file. I’m manipulation the DataGrid Table to alternate row colors and pull in a .css to set the styles. So, basically what I have going for me is a flash version of an HTML table with rows and columns. The tricky part is what it NEEDS to be doing…

I still need to have two columns: Player Name and Confirm. The confirm column will have a button in it that each player will be able to click on to bring up a form that they will then enter their information and submit it to the server to “confirm their spot.” Then, that button - once they have submitted their form and confirmed - will then show up as a different image basically stating that they have confirmed.

Now, naturally, this would be much easier to do using HTML in conjunction with JSP (JSP is the language the server supports, that’s the one I’m going to be using) and Java. However, it’s involving Flash that sucks… Why flash can’t just show HTML inside of it, I don’t know… That’s beside the point. So, with that being said… is there a better way of going about this, or do I still to what I’m doing, and if so, how do I accomplish the final task at hand?

If I was at all unclear as to what I’m talking about, please don’t hesitate to let me know. I appreciate all of your help in advance; this website is without a doubt the best help I have come across.
