I am not getting good delivery results for my swf files. I have heard that flv progressive download or stream better than swf files. Is this true (without a streaming content server)?
How can I convert swf to flv to test? I have looked at the demo versions of a number of third party and macromedia apps, none seem to except swf files as an input for flv output. Am I missing a big gap in my understanding here?
Bottom line I am trying to deliver a host of software simulations at 1024x768 through an external LMS. Swf’s were created in Captivate. I know this is large but the swf file sizes range from <1Mb - 6 Mb. Seems within reason. Beside using a optimzer to squeeze down the final size, are there any other tricks I can do to help my bandwidth issues?
Please oh please…anyone?
