Hi all,
I’m looking for some feedback on a template design I did for Themeforest (http://activatews.com/advisor/blue/index.html). I have worked really hard on this template and it has been rejected twice by their review team. Here are the types of comments I am getting from the reviewers:
“Your template does not provide the necessary design quality to compete in the marketplace at this time”
“Please look into how you’re using white space – both micro and macro. It needs to be intuitive, consistent and frame the content correctly in the manner you seek.”
“Overall typography and visual + typograpic hierarchy needs additional refinements and improvements before it will be ready for Theme Forest.”
“At this stage in the design I am, unfortunately, not able to provide more specific feedback other than what I’ve stated above”
They’re not being very specific and they recommended I post at some forums to get some feedback about how I can improve the design. Frankly I’m a little bewildered because to me the design is actually pretty nice.
So my question to all you world class designers out there… does this design just suck or what? Can you lend a hand by being a little more specific on what it’s major flows are or how I can improve it? They have stated that the typography and visual hierarchy need serious improvement - how so?
