Zeitbyte is a new media company focused on creating and delivering on digital video and audio. We specialize in digital media services like webcasting of live events, media hosting & streaming and custom player development. We also offer traditional video production and post services like multi-camera, on location shoots, video editing and color correction.
Zeitbyte is seeking a Flash/Actionscript developer in our Manhattan office for a full-time position with benefits and health insurance. The developer will maintain and expand upon our existing media player codebase and be responsible for creating and implementing new player features and functions.
The ideal candidate would have the following:
- Extensive Knowledge of ActionScript 3.0
- Experience building dynamic database driven websites
- Solid programming and software development skills
- Knowledge of Python, Plone, Flex, MySQL, Django, and SVN a big plus
- A desire and ability to learn on the job and work with new technologies. We would love for the candidate to
eventually help in developing our CMS built using Plone/Zope - Strong organizational, motivational and analytic skills
- Experience in film or video extremely helpful but not required
