Hi,

i made a video and want to upload it to my homepage. but first i wanted to test it because i got cable connection here. is there a possibility (feature) to test it with dsl or isdn?

you have a video? What format? And is this just the video or a video in Director? And you can “test” it at ANY connection speed, it just might take longer with the slower ones, thats all.

i got a video as a avi file. i want to test it to see HOW long it will take with the slower one. btw, what is the exactly code the make a preloader? i mean, if it would take long to load it (it’s about 5 mb), there is a possibility to load it in the background and play it already, isn’t it? i’m very new to director, and this is my first ‘project’, so i don’t know really much about it.

now i got the video and i got the controller below it. (the standard one, which you can select in the properities)

  1. but it starts in pause-mode. how can i make it start in the play mode?

  2. in some videos i’ve seen, which are unsing the controller too, you see the video running and at the same time buffering. my video buffers first the whole size…

you know how to solve this?

when u import it there is a option for pause or play at beginning
