Downloadble files from within Flash?

Is it possible to provide donwloadable files for the user from within the flash environment???
or is the only way of having downloadable content to have html pop up windows appear for the download link??

Also on an unrelated subject anyone else been having difficulties getting onto actionscripts.org

i tried a search on actionscript.org but found nothing relevant but ill look on here , cheers man.
Glad its not just me having probs with actinscript.org any ideas why its down??

I believe you give your button command the on(release)…
then you “get URL” but instead of a link, you call out to a file.
(I think) Email me if you cant get it to work. I have a book at home with the answer.
