I don’t think this is can be done, but I’d like some other opinions. Is it possible to somehow pick up information from an object that is dropped onto a flash movie?
Basically a client wants to be able to drag emails from outlook onto an application that will then store the emails in a directory structure on our server. So my boss was thinking maybe Flash could be the application that does this. When an email is dropped onto the movie it would need to be able to pick up certain attributes of the object such as sender, date/time recieved, subject, file location etc.
If it can’t be done in Flash is there something else that could be used? I don’t think the solution has to be web based or anything like that.
