Dynamic text invisible - help!

Whats going on? I don’t get this. Am i going mad? I’m building a website at the moment and just started using dynamic text to update a set of picture numbers in a gallery but any dynamic text i create is invisible! It exists cos i traced its value but it is not displaying or there is a depth issue. Either way i’m tearing my hair out with this. Its only in this fla as well. I can start a new project and dynamic text will show fine but not in the fla i want it to. What can be causing this? Is it a bug? Please help somebody, I’m desparate!
