Is there a way I can use a mask over a dynamic text box? When I do, the text in the box doesn’t show up.
yeah the only way you can have masked dynamic text (or stretch and rotate dynamic text for that matter) is to embed the font used in the textfield in the flash movie, you do this by clicking the Character button in the properties panel when you’ve selected your textfield and check the ‘All Characters’ option in the font embed options
Perfect. Thanks a lot
You don’t necessarily have to embed the font to mask dynamic text…

yay! this might help solve my font problem.
OK!
Good luck and let me know how it turns out. =)
That is for masking static text device fonts isnt it? Im looking to mask dynamic text
It’s the same thing… :sigh:
Well, not exactly the same thing but it works too.
It will work for masking dynamic device fonts?
Yep… it works.
Ok. I’m playing with it now and I’ll let you know later.
Doesn’t work for me. Even their demo doesn’t work for me when I download it.
Update your Player… ?
It works on their site. The demo they have on that link I can see. But when I download the fla it doesnt work properly. ??
Ah weird. It works if i view it through the html clip. I have to publish it then open the swf through the html. It doesnt work with just the swf opening.
Update your Player.
Cool. Thanks
No problem…
