I’m working on a little scoreboard fader for my site (http://www.fifaconcacaf.com) and I’m having some problems with the dynamic text.
The dynamic text is reading from an external XML file and placing the info into two collums (seperate dynamic text boxes). I’ve embedded the fonts and set the size to 10point.
http://www.fifaconcacaf.com/help/caribe_leagues.swf (you might have to refresh after loading… I’m having problems with getting the XML to parse before the movie starts…any help with that would also be welcomed!)
It works fine and everything lines up for one of the league tables which has 10 teams in it. However, when I set up dynamic text boxes with the exact same dimensions for an 8 team league the font is skewed. It looks like the “extra room” in the text box (for 8 teams instead of 10) makes the font size up.
When I remove the embedded fonts, the sizes all match up (but of course I can’t fade or mask the text). Is there some way to “lock” the font size?
I’ve checked to make sure that the movies aren’t resized when placed on the main stage… but I have no idea what’s causing this!
