Edit: Projectors (.exe) and fullscreen

Hi everyone. Firstly, I want my .swf file to start off automatically as a maximised window (its not doin now) could anyone tell me how to do this? Secondly, I want to turn my program into an .exe but everytime I do it I need to load up my .swf file through the .exe. I just want it to start as an .exe, can anyone help please? Thanks :p:

I tryed to search for the answer and I was just wondering if there was something like: fscommand(“maximize”, “true”); or something like that?

don't understand you have if you  publish it as a .exe it works on its own wiht no .swf  ??

Ok, I’ve published my program as an .exe but when I run it all I get is a white screen. I have to go to open then type in the URL of my file. What I want is just to have it open like a .swf file does but as an .exe

Ok…

try…

open a new fla make a box on the stage. then save it as “testAS.fla” or something… then goto file>Publish settings… (Ctrl+Shift+F12). check the checkbox labeled Windows Projector(.exe)
Click OK
then go to file>Publish Preview>Projector…
now you should have a .exe open
to open is outside of flash open the dir where you saved the .fla and there you should find the .exe to

if all that does not work well then im stumped!!

It worked. Thanks very much for your help. Its just with my other question, My screen size is 800x600, and I want it to start directly in the middle of the screen because when I start it, it starts off to the side and down a bit and I have to keep dragging it to where I want it. Is there anyway I could start it of so that is exactly in the middle of the screen?

I tryed to convert my program again today on my PC (before I did it on a mac) I did it the exact same way and I still keep on getting the white screen and I have to load up my .swf file through it. WHY!!!

So? Your thread is the 1st one up, it’s 9 in the morning in the US so most pple still waking up…give it some time… :wink:
If you have a working swf file, open it (with the Flash player which gets installed with Flash), then in file menu, click “create projector”…of course, the fullscreen has to be in there already, so to get out of fullscreen, hit ESC key… what’s the exact pb?

the only place i can get a white screen is then i open the SA (StandAlone) player in the flash dir…

so is there a samll change your opening the wrong SAplayer?

I WOULD send you the file, but my program has 3 video clips, all 4 mins long, so my .swf file is 15 meg

I think it’s my computer. Flash must have installed wrong or something. Thanks to everyone who tried to help though. :slight_smile:
