How am I supposed to edit a symbol’s URL with the getURL function if there is no way that I can see the original URL? Or maybe I am just not figuring out how to do it.
A URL of a symbol? Or do you mean a link to a URL <i>from</i> a symbol? If it’s the second option, then the symbol needs to be a button, not a graphic. 
Apologies if I haven’t got the point of your problem… If you could explain it a little clearer please?
It is the second option and it is a button. I just don’t get why it is not working when I select it from the drop down in the top right corner of the Flash 5 program and then open the Actions Panel? :q:
