I have a few problems going on with the email form from Flash-Based Email Form Using PHP tutorial…
First when the flash file and php file are uploaded to server and accessed by themselves it works fine. I tested it by itself.
But, I am loading it into an empty MC on the root timeline… the form shows up but when the submit button is pressed nothing goes…
I am sourcing the .php on a different server than the flash site because the server that needs to host the flash site is not php enabled but another site I have is on a server that is.
Can you not have a flash/php form load into a empty MC?
Has anyone tried this and gotten it to work?
Could my server not allow me to access the php file?, I do have a php form on a static html site that accesses it and it works fine.
Would it be better to make it a mc within the flash site and not an external .swf file?
Would it be better to put it on the main timeline?
I like the idea of a form on the flash site but I am ready to give up…
