A guy that recently graduated from an animation school would like me to set up a demo reel site for him.
The sections he would like me to create are:
- Resume Page
- Tutorials Page
- Contact Page
- Video Gallery
- Print Gallery
- Blog
Whereas the first 5 sections are fairly static (barring any future updates/additions), the Blog part has thrown me. He says he wants to be able to update and talk about what he’s currently working on.
On a personal level, I’ve always wanted to learn how to add a Blog embedded into a site as well. I looked for information and only found links to external blog sites where you can set up a blog, but nothing where you can do it right in the page (and maybe even have the option of having visitors reply with comments!).
Can someone point me in the right direction as to how I would set this up?
Also, anyone know what would be a fair price to charge a recent college grad for this kind of work? I don’t have a strong portfolio as is, so I can attribute this to building my portfolio and don’t mind undercharging him, but I certainly don’t want to throw out a price that makes him react like “wow this guy must suck to only ask that much.”
Any advice you can give me is greatly appreciated.
