Ensuring nothing appears outside the document's edge

Hi there,

I’m fairly new to flash, haven’t taken any courses, all self-taught, so I have a few creases to iron out;

I’m working on a website at the moment;

I have got the menu set at the top, which loads the relevant pages (when I’ve finished them at the bottom). You’ll notice at the beginning of the bottom page’s entrance, the black block scrolls right down across the top menu.

How do I set the document so that nothing outside it’s edges will appear? Or will I have to set the block to ‘stretch’ size wise from the top down instead?
