Hello,
I am completely new to Flash and it’s been a couple of day I have been trying to “adapt” a .fla file to work in a page I would like to post in my website.

Now, I have been trying to change the countdown final date to september 2 2005 (using Flash MX Pro 2004) but when I try to export to a .swf file, all I get is the following error message :
Error Scene=Scene 1, layer=Layer 1, frame=1:Line 14: ‘)’ or ‘,’ expected
eventDate = new Date(thisYear, 09, 01);
Total ActionScript Errors: 1 Reported Errors: 1
The Export Flash Player window shows the following settings :
Flash version : 6
load order : Bottom Up
ActionScript Version : ActionScript 1.0
I saved the image files that member Senocular provided in the main root of my website and the .swf file but when I type the address of my website, it only show the final part of the “movie” which is the word “horah”.
Anyone cares to give me a hand on how to fix this as I am going nuts trying to understand the Flash code…
