Error?

in my web page when i go to preview it pops up with a error message.

file://C:\Documents and Settings\Alex\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\NOEXCJF5[1].htm

i am not sure what that means. and its getting really annoying. i am also not sure if this will effect my page any way when i upload it to the web.

thanks:trout:

It is looking for a file on your computer that doesn’t exist. Since it doesn’t exist, it gives an error.

If this is an uploaded page, any viewers will not be able to see a file that comes from your computer, you need to upload it to the server and link to it that way.

everything on my page works when uploaded.

do you think that there could be a java script that isnt working like it should?

Not unless you use a Javascript that looks for [1].htm

A link would help so we can see it ourselves too.

i dont see any thing that says 1.htm.

i dont want to post my site because there is to much personal things there. jsut for me and my firends at school. no offence:-\

i thook the html and i put it in a seperate page and did thoes steps with every one of my frames. i did not get this error message when i did that.

so i just might redo it to get rid of this error

Very odd. Maybe it is Tripods code is doing it. I know they automatically put in pop up code and such when you save your file (but you can’t view it unless you go to your page in your browser and view the source).

is there any way to get rid of the pop ups besides buying the package with the domain etc…

Not without breaching the Member Usage rules tripod sets forth. Which is in turn breaking the binds of a contract.

never mind then. lol i dont want to do that:geek:

Yeah, they will shut down your site right quick if they found out you did. Who knows what else they could do. I mean, you do agree to the terms when you sign up, so I am assuming they do actually have a right to take you to court.

Although why they would waste their time with that I have no clue, I highly doubt the latter will happen. But they will shut down your site.

i wouldnt want that to happen because i spent alot of time on my site.:smirk:

is my footer the right size or should i make it smaller.

Nope it is the right size

A little long in Lenght (300x60 is the required), but it is nothing to cause a fuss over, so you can leave it. You aren’t the first to go a little over

good… i dont want to make kirupa mad=)

i found what the problem was. and its working fine again
the problem was on my music page. i added a java script 2 times. the script was used to change the border colors. the script is pretty cool

Oh ok. Glad you fixed it
