Its amazing how when I am stuck on something, taking a look at the AS3/Flex docs helps me figure stuff out. Because it is targeted to Flex, I assume not too many people have come across this link, however it does cover the Flash based APIs. Anyway, whether you are a newcomer to AS3 or an ol’ hat, IMHO you should bookmark the following link:

For pure Flash-only related APIs you should check out any package that says either topLevel or flash.blah
Maybe the mods can sticky and close this post to help alleviate repeat posts when a simple API link might do?
