Can MX export a movie as an .exe file
if so can you please tell me how this is done.

Yes it can…
Go to File/Publish Settings…
Click on the Formats tag.
Click the checkbox 6 boxes down (I believe that is where it is), it says Windows Projector(.exe). With that checked, when you click publish it will publish all the file types you have checked, including the .exe.
