External swfs/shapes not anti-aliasing

Hello, I’m hoping somebody can help me figure out what is going on with this strange issue I’m having.

I have a container swf thats loading in another swf via movieClipLoader, and the external swf has various types of content in it. Part of that content consists of movieClips on the stage that have shapes in them.

When I launch the external swf my itself, everything looks good, the way its supposed to. When I pull the swf into the parent swf though the movieClipLoader, some of the shapes become ugly and aliased, like a transparent gif without a matching background.

My first thought was that it might be something with the movieClipLoader, so I tried bringing in the swf with loadMovie, but it didnt seem to change anything with the strange rendering issue.

Can somebody please tell me what would cause this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. (Flash 8, AS 2.0 by the way)
