External XML, reload/refresh

Hi there!

Since one of my new years resolutions was to seriously freshen up my Flash/AS knowledge, I have begun to work through some of the (very well-done) tutorials here - this afternoon/evening was “XML-time”.

Since I didn’t just want to complete the turorial and move on, I have begun building a little Flash newsreader for my desktop. Until a few hours ago, everything worked beautifully - external XML file is being loaded and displayed properly.

One thing I that has me completely stumped though, is how in the world do I reload the XML file manually? I have tried simply repeating the XML import (assigning the loadXML function to a button) but the display of my “newsreader” refuses to show the updated contents from the XML file (I’m working with a local XML file for now to make things easier)

This is driving me bunkers. If any of you guys could help me over this “bump” with a link/tutorial/code snippet - that would be most appreciated!

TIA, kubik
