So I want to be able to click a regular HTML link from my page, which calls an AS function in my swf on the same page. ‘Not too difficult’ I hear you cry, with the help of ExternalInterface.addCallback.
Except, it doesn’t sodding work!
I’ve followed the example in the flash docs exactly, then had a look at the live docs, only to discover there was an error in the flash docs. Changed the error, and it still doesn’t work.
The number of people commenting on problems on the live docs makes me think there is definately something not working properly:
Has anyone managed to do this successfully and either share their code or point me to an example? I would very much appreciate it.
