Failed to Open document

I am recieving the Failed to Open Document error when I try to open my files in mx2004. I know people are very quick to blame this on the crack but I am using one of the lab computers at my school and I know it isn’t a cracked version.

Any ways, if someone could tell me what is up withthat I would be forever greatful.

check to see if the files are corrupted. either that or the file is protected.

or if you’re using mac at home and pc at school… that would mess it up too. pc’s can’t open mac fla’s.

PC at both locations. I’m sure the file is not corrupted, and what do you mean protected? how can i remove protection if there is any?

protected from import.
in the publish settings dialog (flash tab)

Ok so that sucks, what happened was I made all the site files on this computer, then I reformatted because I was having some serious driver issues that I couldn’t track down. Once I reinstalled flash my files wouldn’t open. I’ll admit that while I am at home I am using a cracked version, but I plan on buying as soon as I can afford it. The files were made in mx Professional 7.0.1. My friend who had 7.0 installed could open them and once when this happened he converted them to flash mx files and I was able to open them. Once he updated to 7.0.1, he was no longer able to open the files, and neither can I. I have both mx2004pro and regular mx versions of all my files but none of them are openable. The MX files doesnt even open in MX.
