Please be prepared for questions of the form, “I can do ‘xyz’ with ASP, how do I that with PHP”.

absolutely. I am always willing to offer my services to a fellow respectful individual 
on the other hand, this PHP programmer has just preordered a couple of books on ASP.NET (which I can safely say is somewhat powerful-er than php) 
This might help you a little…
It converts ASP VBScript to PHP. I’m not sure personally how good it is, but you could try that and see if it helps
