First Pixel Art Ever

Well since someone (forgot who) posted a link to a EXCELLENT pixel art tutorial site, iv been hooked, iv been creating this for about 4 hours now, i know its not much and its not finished yet, but i thought that i have done enough to see if im on the right track to pixel art. This is my first piece ever, apart from the small things the tutorial makes you do. Just like to get opinions on it as in if theres anything else i need to do while creating pixle art, the design iv done is just a random lounge room to get the feel on how to create it and play around with shadows…
