I see that when I save a Macromedia MX file as it actually gets saved as a Winamp Media file; this makes little difference when building and testing as it still runs properly. I am not sure why the file is getting saved as Winamp instead of a straight Flash fla file.
The trouble occured in the matter when I downloaded a zipped, Kirupa tutorial file tonight; upon opening the file via Winzip the fla file is listed as a Winamp file (even before I extracted it fully) I next extract it to my desktop and attempt to open it in Flash MX and I receive the error message: “! Unexpected File Format” :h:
Any ideas as to what may be causing this problem? It is frustrating. I tried to figure out how to set fla files to always be flash files and NOT Winamp files-- cannot figure it out yet. The odd thing: it saves as Winamp but will not display a thing in Winamp (not that I really expect it to).
I am a bit confused at this point.
Thank-you in advance for any help.
